Privacy & Cookie Policy
How I look after your information
This policy explains what personal information I collect when you use this website or work with me, how I use and store it, and the choices you have. Last updated: October 2026.
Who is responsible for your data
Kathleen Cornmell, Registered Nutritionist (mBANT, CNHC), is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website (www.kathleencornmell.co.uk). If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is used, please email contact@kathleencornmell.com or call 07771 632553.
1. The information I collect
I collect personal information when you contact me through a form on this website, by email or by phone, when you book a consultation, group session, programme or talk, when you download a free resource, and when you become a client. This may include your name, email address, phone number, postcode, the service you are interested in, and anything you choose to tell me in your message. I only collect what I need to respond to you and to provide the service you have asked about.
When you become a client I will also ask for information about your health, diet and lifestyle so that I can give you safe, personalised advice. This is special category data and I only collect it with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
2. How I use your information
I use your information to reply to your enquiries, arrange and deliver consultations, programmes, group sessions and talks, send you resources you have requested, and keep the records I need to support you safely. I do not sell your data and I do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
3. How your information is stored
Enquiries sent through this website are emailed to me and stored securely in my email and practice records, with access limited to me. This website is hosted in the UK by 20i. Client records are kept securely and only for as long as they are needed (see Data retention below).
4. Who I share information with
I use a small number of trusted service providers to run my practice, such as website hosting, email, booking and practice-management tools, and testing laboratories where you have asked for blood testing. Each provider is required to look after your data in line with UK GDPR. My website is maintained by Digital House MD Ltd, who may see enquiry data when supporting the site. I will never pass your details to anyone else without your consent, unless I am required to by law.
5. Cookies and website tracking
This website uses cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working and secure and cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) help me understand which pages people visit and how they find the site; this data is anonymised and does not identify you. No advertising or behavioural tracking cookies are used. When you first visit the site you can choose which non-essential cookies to allow, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on the site or in your browser settings.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how it is used, to withdraw consent, and to ask for your data to be transferred to someone else. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@kathleencornmell.com. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
7. Data retention
Enquiry details are kept while I follow up with you and deleted if we do not go on to work together. Client records are kept for the duration of our work together and for a period afterwards in line with my professional body's guidance, after which they are securely deleted. You can ask me to delete your information at any time, subject to any records I am required to keep.
8. Data security
I take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, including secure password-protected systems, restricted access and a UK-hosted website with an SSL certificate so that anything you send through the site is encrypted.
9. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page.
